Online Ordering: Saved Cards

When planning our Online Ordering solution, partnering with Stripe was a no-brainer. As an industry leading payments processor, many of our clients were already familiar with the simple-to-use platform, and their customers can purchase in complete confidence, as the payment is protected by industry-leading security. Best of all – for the development team at Kobas(!) – we are able to take advantage of a number of their features within our own platform.

With that in mind, we are very excited to announce a new feature to speed the checkout process for any returning loyalty customer: the ability to save card details for later use.

One simple checkbox gives returning customers the option to save the card they are using. This card will be stored securely in Stripe. Once saved, the card can simply be selected from a list and Stripe is able to process the payment from the same method immediately.

That’s all there really is to it; a very simple feature to make things that little bit easier. Customers can also keep track of their cards within the My Profile section of the CIC and delete cards they no longer wish to use.

This is one of a trio of checkout features that we have on the way, this month. So, keep your eyes peeled for those. Next on the list is Apple Pay, which we hope to be out very soon, followed by a Google Pay release as well.

So, whether you are a loyalty customer or walk-in, Apple user or Android, there is something on this list for everyone, smoothing the checkout process for all.
